I bought this gun in April, 2012 from John Grech in Mount Forest and I really like it. A number of people have said the scope that comes with this gun is crap, but I don't find that. It looks clear to me and seems to work well, and the gun is extremely accurate. For the price you pay for this gun I think it's very good value.

I had to do this in 2 parts because it was too long. I don't know how to set it up so the second part appears right after the first.
Beautiful job! ❤ I need me one. Do you sell your wallets?
I'm not actually in the wallet-making business, but I did sell a few of these when I first released the video. I haven't made on in a few years now.
Thank you for the compliment!
Beautiful 👏👏👏
Thank you!
Or you could go buy a “Isomax eazypower get it out #6” tool….Part #88243 I did two mossberg 930spx’s and it took 10 minutes each one…👍
Bjudyfu❤
A fantastic job!! I was taught to never dye before carving and tooling bc the grain won’t pick up the impressions nicely. Your belt seemed to take the impression very well, so that was a pleasant surprise. I appreciate you sharing your work, I got to learn a thing or two for sure. I’ll definitely watch more of your videos.
I appreciate the compliment, thank you. It's true that the leather doesn't stamp as well if you put the dye on first, but I'm using the alcohol based dye, which is a little harder to work with than the oil based. I find it's hard to get good results if I put it on after, but one way to get around that would be to use an airbrush. I've seen people using airbrush to put on the dye and the results are very nice.
Masterpiece 👍
Thank you. You're very kind!
Where did all the pieces go that were cut with the bolt cutters?
That's just scrap. The aluminum needed to be long enough to grab with the chuck, but after the shaft diameter was cut down to size I just trimmed them to length with the bolt cutters.
Wonderful and beautiful work. Little tip from a gunsmith, chalk your files before using, helps prevent them from getting clogged @20:46 and makes it easier to card them for cleaning when finished. The chalk fills in the deep part of the valleys making it so metal doesn’t get wedged in there, thus easier to clean out with a wire brush. Simple blackboard chalk works perfectly, though Brownells seems 1” sticks. But the sidewalk chalk works perfect too. Keep safe and keep up the amazing work, would love some stuff made one of these days,
Thank you, I really appreciate that!
Road Agent Leather makes some very beautiful leather gun belts..However...you sir...you wrote the book..a true grand master of the craft
You are much too kind... thank you!
Beautiful. If my leatherwork gets to be 1/10th as good, I’ll be very happy.
You are too kind, thank you!
Not mentioned is the detent ball sitting under the safety. Carefully lift off the safety and place the new one in place. Best to put the shotgun on a table covered with a large white towel in case the detent drops off.
The most beautiful belt I have ever seen. Truly a work of art.
I appreciate that. Thank you!
EXCELLENT idea and execution of it. Thank you for sharing!!!
Thank you
Beautiful work!
Thank you. I appreciate that!
A truly remarkable work of art. I could not stop watching.
I appreciate that Rodney, thank you!
Beautiful work! Question, was 22 magnum a thing back in the day?
Thank you Jason. I don't think they had them back in the day. This is purely cosmetic and not a real bullet belt. The real ones, as you probably know, were worn over the other belt. I needed a cartridge that was small enough to fit through the belt loops.
Beautiful wallet nice job. I would love to have one of those.❤❤
Thank you. I appreciate it!
Absolutely incredible, wow it turned out absolutely amazing.😊❤
I appreciate that. Thank you!
While researching how mexican revolution bandolier's look I came across your video. Wow, it inspired me to make a variation of the mexican revolution bandolier. Your design, craftsmanship and attention to details is truly Mastercraft. Thank you for sharing.
I appreciate that. Thank you!
Again, GREAT WORK !!
I appreciate it. Thank you!
Perfect example of a video to take with a grain of salt. The bit i made like his worked very very well! And then when the safety switch was detached the safety mechanism promptly fell into my gun necessitating removal of the trigger group... So...i saved no time in the end.
That actually happened to me as well, but at least I was able to get the screw out without hitting the gun with a hammer
@@wm17959 Well there is that, so I still gotta thank you for the video. Still saved me from that I guess. imo that safety was a liability in its stock form. Glad I replaced it.
It's an incredible piece of art, no doubt. I'm a little perplexed at the choice of cartridge. With a centrefire round, you could have saved yourself a tonne of work using commercial reloading components, not to mention a more iconic outcome. .44 Remington Magnum or even Long Colt .45 would have been very cool. I have some amazing Single Action rigs made here in Australia in both .357 Magnum and .44 RM, but the quality is for competition, not beauty, as yours is. I'm imagining turning up to my local club wearing something like that. Wow!
I appreciate the compliment, thank you! I chose the 22 magnum rounds because the belt has to fit through the loops of the pants - anything bigger would make this almost impossible. Even as it is, I have to put the belt into the pants before I put them on because of how thick it is. Also, the video is meant to teach people how to do this, so a person could conceivably make their own belt with whatever ammo they choose. Thanks again.
If I owned something as beautiful as this I would display it on my wall like a fine piece of art, which it is! It inspires me to get back in the shop.
Thank you Terry. You're very kind!
that's not a belt, that is a piece of art. amazing work, outstanding artwork and craftsmanship, i really take my hat off. Thanks for teaching me at least, that there is somebody out there who can do such a job!
Thank you Andy, I appreciate that! You're very kind.
Stupendo 😊
I appreciate that Denis. Thank you!
My safety won’t slide took out trigger assembly and can’t move the safety bracket ?
I had the same problem the first time I did it. If it's possible to take it apart and put it back together you might get it to work. That's what I had to do
Love your invented machine. You do excellent work on every thing. Thanks.
Thank you Dyana, I appreciate that!
Great workmanship perhaps. But, does this guy have to make the post so anal and boring ? We could, very easily, have got the gist in 20/25 minutes max
What caliber were the live shells?
They're all 22 magnum (or 22 WMR)

I assume the reason for the fake rounds (not bullets) is because you live in California?
HAHA. Actually, I live in Canada which is not that different from California. I also didn't want the bullets to fall out.
@@wm17959 I understand now. Beautiful craftsmanship, nonetheless. I assume after the fact you replaced the fake rounds with real rounds? Oops!... sorry, forget I said that.
@@CreggLund Thanks Cregg. I could put read rounds in there, but I'd be worried they'd fall out.
Wow very nice
I appreciate that. Thank you!
Why would you make the cartridges so you couldn't take them out??
HAHA. The belt is basically just cosmetic. There are people who walk around with spurs on their boots but have never been on the back of a horse. I was also concerned that they might fall out and get lost. Also, in many places, like here in Canada, it's not legal to walk around with live ammo.
Beautiful !!!
Thank you, Joe!
Thats a work of art.
You do GREAT Work, I'm glad to see someone with your skills using a CLSP Machine, again Beautiful Work.
I appreciate that, thank you!
Super nice job !!!!!!
I appreciate that. Thank you!
It's a nice belt . Except for the fake .22wmr bullets. Should just put live ammo in it. In .44 mag .357mag .45-70. .45lc
Thank you! The problem with larger rounds is that it won't fit into the belt loops. Even this one is just barely small enough to go through. I have to put the belt into the pants before I put them on. Real gun belts are meant to be worn over everything else so the size of the ammo doesn't matter.
Wow! To say I'm impressed is an understatement. Thank you for sharing.
That's very kind of you. Thank you!
That’s a hell of a lot of work to make some fake bullets that you can buy online for cheap.
HAHA. Yes, that's true. But some people like to make them just for the fun of it.
Fancy ! How much $ ?
Thanks Walter. I don't actually sell these belts. I had a number of my personal techniques I wanted to share, and I thought the belt would be the best way to do it. I guess I'm more of a teacher than a manufacturer. If I was going to sell such a belt I'm guessing it would be around $500.
Why .22 mag?
The only calibre I have is 22 and 22 mag. I thought 22 was too short and thicker bullets like 9mm would be too hard to get through the belt loops. Even with this calibre I have to put the belt in the pants before I put them on.
@@wm17959 oh I was thinking it would used. I didn’t realize it was for decoration.
Awesome project! How do you determine on how big to make the bullet loops?
Hi Kal, and thank you! I did some experimenting with scrap leather until I got a size I was comfortable with.
@wm17959 I gotcha, so it's like you take a bullet, figure out how wide it is to get your belt side spacing, then take a scrap piece of leather over the bullet to get your loop side spacing. What kind of sewing machine are you using? Is it a cobblers machine? I've been looking for a hand operated one recently but they are so expensive and it's hard to know which one is worth it. The tippmann boss is expensive but it breaks easy, the cowboy outlaw is supposed to be better made but even more expensive, etc.. I have to say, this video is one of the most creative ones I've come across yet on UA-cam. From making your own bullets on a homemade lathe to your designing and tooling your leather with homemade tools (yes I noticed). I have to applaud your work. You have given me inspiration to start working on leather again. Thank you.
@@kall3467 I appreciate the kind words! At the 1:50 mark is the pattern for this belt. The loops I made are 5/8" for over the bullet and 1/4" between each bullet. You can try this to see if it fits the bullets your using and then make it looser or tighter as needed. On this project I did not use a machine, but I do have one of those inexpensive Chinese shoe patch machines that I use on other projects. You can get them on eBay for under $200. They work well, but may require some tweaking for optimum performance. If I were serious into leather work I would buy the Cowboy CB4500 machine, which I think is around $2000.
@wm17959 Thank you for the advice, I really appreciate it. I've seen a couple of videos on those Chinese machines, do you think it would sew two pieces of 9oz leather together? How heavy of a thread can you use with it? I did a quick search of the 4500 and it seems they are going for around $3k. I would love to have a machine like that but there is no way I can afford it. Plus the wife would kill me. 😆
@@kall3467 Hi Kal. This guy has some very good videos on the Chinese machine. www.youtube.com/@MainelyAcresFarmBrooks In one of his videos he's sewing through the tread of a car tire, but I could never get my machine to do that. The thickest I could do with my machine is maybe one piece of 9 oz leather. I use it for smaller projects like wallets where the leather is quite thin. Anything heavier I would sew by hand. The heaviest thread I sew with mine is 138 lb polyester, but in one of the videos of the guy above he sews heavier thread than that. There are many excellent tutorial videos on UA-cam dealing with hand stitching, and if you get good at it you can actually move pretty quick. I recall now that I did actually use the machine on the belt for going around the edge. I had forgotten about that 🙁 If you need parts you can order them from this company facebook.com/able290 Hope this helps.
Πάρα πολύ καλό εξερετικοοο
Το εκτιμώ αυτό. Σας ευχαριστώ.
If everyone took as much pride in their work as he does the world would be full of finer things.
HAHA, thank you Mitchell, I appreciate that. But I think there are many things in this world a lot finer than this belt. :)
You can buy brass dummy rounds, no use making fake bullets.
Thanks Jessica. I wasn't aware of that. Still, some people might be interested in making their own.
I would like to buy one of your patterns, is this possible?

U$S 35.000,00 I don't pay more than that for that belt
Hello Mate. I'm confused. Are you offering $35,000.00 US to purchase this belt?
